Denise Marie Hughes, a native of Larose, LA peacefully transitioned into 
eternal life on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 55 years of age.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved husband Mark Hughes;  3 
daughters (Telicia Allen, Jennifer Lawson and Lacey Hughes); 2 son-in-laws 
(Jameel Allen Sr. and Deltrin Lawson); 7 grandchildren (Caleb Hughes, Aneesa 
Douglas, Alaysia Hughes, Tylon Hughes, Jameel Allen Jr., Joel Allen, Lyric 
Lawson); her father John Darjean Sr.;  4 brothers (Carl Daniels, Raymond 
Daniels, John Darjean Jr., Otis Darjean); 2 sisters (Connie Darjean, Arriana 
Darjean),

Preceded in death by her mother (Georgia Mae Clingan) and sister (Kathryn 
Isidore) and multitudes of extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will begin with a Wake ceremony from 10:30 am -1:30 pm and 
Funeral to ensue shortly thereafter at 2 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 
Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. 

Burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery in Larose.

Kennedy Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hughes Family during their time of 
tremendous loss.
