Kenneth James Soignet, 62, a native of Thibodaux and longtime resident of 
Houston, Texas, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, December 1, 
2016.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 9:00AM until service 
time at Ordoyne Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11:00AM at the 
funeral home. 

A private burial will be held at a later date.

Kenneth is survived by his partner, Derek Duran; his mother, Shirley Rousseau 
Soignet; siblings, Leslie Soignet Montet, Lisa Soignet Pellegrin and Kyle 
Soignet; brothers in law, Marcus Montet and Jimmy Pellegrin; nieces and 
nephews, Melanie Montet Oncale, Kevin Anderson, Margot Montet Dupuis, Katie 
Anderson, Kristin Anderson Amico and Marc Cameron Montet; ten great nieces and 
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Lester Joseph Soignet.

Our family expresses its deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of 
M.D. Anderson and Thibodaux Regional Medical Center for their untiring 
compassion and care, especially, Dr. James Soignet.
