Addie J Solet Sr., 77, a native of Dulac and a resident of Houma, passed away 
on December 20, 2016. 

He was a Tug Boat Captain and commercial fisherman. Addie loved his family 
dearly and enjoyed family gatherings and telling jokes.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Samart Funeral Home of 
Houma, LLC from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on 
Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, LLC, at 1:00 pm. 

Burial will take place in the Rogers Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Mary Parfait Solet, five sons, Addie "Popeye" Solet, 
Jr and wife Belinda., Picou Solet and wife Julie, Terry Solet and wife Maria, 
Donald Solet and wife Karen, Craig Solet; daughter, Tracey Stewart and husband 
Tony; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Joseph E.Solet and mother Lillian Edna 
Verdin Solet, two brothers, Abbie Solet, Paul Solet; six sisters, Irene 
Billiot, Olivia Guidry, Victoria Boudreaux, Audrey Trahan, Cecile Guidry, Mary 
Billiot.

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
