A native of Raceland, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died on December 21, 2016. Visitation services will be held at Community Funeral Home on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 4-7:00p.m. A Celebration of Life Services for Darnell "Pank Shot" Williams, will be held at New Rising Sun Baptist Church 230 St. Charles St., Houma, LA on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Visitation from 9:00a.m. until funeral time at 11:00a.m. Interment at Southdown Cemetery. "In My father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" John 14:2 was Darnell's favorite scripture. On June 17, 1968, Darnell Christopher Williams was born to Philp and Lillie Mae Celestin Williams at St. Joseph Hospital in Thibodaux, LA. Darnell was baptized on June 29, 1977 at Triumph Baptist Church in Gibson, LA by the late Rev. James Williams. He was also a member of the Jr. Choir. Darnell was Bold and Beautiful, he loved helping people. He also loved giving to anyone, people of all walks of life loved him in return. Darnell had a heart of gold. He would give you the shirt off his back. After graduating from H. L. Bourgeois High School in 1988, Darnell begin Searching for Tomorrow. During that time Darnell was Young and Restless so he decided to attend Katie's Beauty College in New Orleans, LA. While attending Katie's Beauty College his instructor was Mr. Martin Green. His passion in life was to become a licensed barber. With God's help that dream was accomplished. Darnell enjoyed fishing, he was fascinated with antique cars and he was keen on fine jewelry, stylish caps and hats. He also enjoyed partying, but most of all Darnell loved the Lord. Then at the Edge of Night at 1:28p.m., on December 21, 2016 God saw Darnell's road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed those weary eyes and whispered, "Peace be thine". The weary hours, the days of pain, the sleepless nights have passed. Darnell's life ended at Oshner Foundation. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Lillie Mae Williams of Houma, LA, his father, Philip Williams of Raceland, LA. One brother, Di"Jon C. (Antoinette) Robinson of Bayou Blue. One sister, Amanda Denise (Greg) Lewis. Three nephews, Darnell and Deondre Baloney of Raceland, LA and Durrel Baloney of Houma, LA. Two great nieces; Dalayah Baloney and Nyla Baloney of Raceland, LA, one great nephew; Damian Baloney of Raceland, LA; one aunt; Rose Lee W. (Ernest) Tucker of Raceland, LA, one uncle; Daniel Williams, four cousins in which he considered Aunts; Mildred M. (Clinton) Murphy and Irma J. McGuire of Gibson, LA, Vella S. Stewart of Houma, LA and Joyce Clark of Ama, LA. One adopted granddaughter, Ashley McKinley of Houma, LA, his favorite cousin, Penny Kennedy of Gray, LA; one Godchild, Willie Jermain Stewart, Jr. of Land of Lakes, FL, four God sisters, Sarah Ruffin and Cheryl R. Henderson of Gibson,LA, Joycelyn C. Ballard of Ama, LA and Tiffany Arbelo, two God brothers, Rendell M. Clark of Ama, LA and John Ruffin, Jr. of Gibson, LA. He also leaves to cherish his memories a colossal group of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Inez Patterson and Dave Celestin, his paternal grandparents; Willie and Margaret Williams, his Godparnets, Althea M. J. Ruffin and Earl J.
