Wife of the late Roland "Cowboy" Benoit, and daughter of the late Antoine and Emelia Lousteau Tregre, she was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald "Cowboy" Benoit; brothers, Joseph, Dennis, Robert, and George Tregre; and sisters, Lucille Cortez, Josephine Allemand, and Nina Benoit. She is survived by sons Bobby (Toni) and Jimmie (Effie) Benoit; daughter Mona (Vernon) Fabre; grandchildren Craig (Sheila) Benoit, Mark (Karin) Benoit, Fr Charles Jimmie Benoit, O.S.B., Lisa (Ryan) Dufrene, Regina (Michael) McMillan, Nicole (Nick) Yesbik, Jared Fabre, and Danielle (Ray) Sick; great grandchildren Trevor, Kenleigh, and Tregre Benoit, Adelaide Benoit, Austin and Brady Dufrene, Annemarie and Katherine McMillan, Kyle and Cameron Yesbik, Henry and Jack Fabre, and Alexandra, Brennan, and Graham Sick; and two sisters-in-law Lena and Margitta Tregre. Before retirement she was area manager of "Child Nutrition" for the St. Charles Parish Public School System. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church (155 Holy Family Lane, Luling, LA). Visitation from 9:00am until the start of Mass. Burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Joseph Abby Flood Relief Fund (75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457).
