She was a native and a resident of Gray, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 9 AM until funeral time at St. Bridget Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Charles Chatagnier, Philip Chatagnier and wife, Lois, Lawrence Chatagnier and wife, Debra, and Mark Chatagnier and wife, Debbie; daughters, Alice Bennett and husband, Charles, and Cela Messina and husband, Michael; son-in-law, Michael Richard; sisters, Annie Crochet, Dot Didier, Agnes Babin and Frances Sellers; 17 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild on the way; 2 step great-great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Lawrence John Chatagnier; her parents, Clovis and Isabella Guillot Crochet; son, Lawrence John Chatagnier, Jr.; daughter, Juanita Richard; brother, Clovis Jr. and Sonny Crochet; sisters, Irene Michel and Bernice Curole. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church, a past member of the Ladies Club, a member of the Bereavement Committee which prepared meals for the families during the death of loved ones. She also made the baptismal gowns for newly baptized infants for over 30 years. She was a quilter who donated many quilts to the St. Bridget fair. She enjoyed quilting, canning, feeding people and playing bingo at the Senior Citizens Center in Schriever with her many friends. She enjoyed her many grandchildren. Special thanks to St. Catherine’s Hospice, her wonderful caregiver Myrna Bourg and the wonderful staff at Heritage Manor Nursing Home where she was known as Ms. CeCe.
