Roy Peter Chenier, 68, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 6:13 AM. 
He was a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9 AM until service 
time at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel at 11 AM.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Ellender Chenier; son, Dwayne P. 
Chenier and wife, Devon; daughter, Melissa Chenier Boudreaux and companion, 
Brian Curole; mother, Adriel Rita Toups Chenier; brothers, Gerald Chenier and 
wife, Nora, and his twin, Leroy Chenier and wife, Gayle; grandchildren, Kristen 
and Dylan Boudreaux, Austin, Tyler, Taylor and Aden Chenier; great-
grandchildren, Ka’Leah, Khloe and Kenzie Williams

He was preceded in death by his father, Percy Pierre Chenier; in-laws, Warren 
and Stella Trahan Ellender.

He previously worked at Dolphin Services, Cajun Cutters and Hideaway Ponds 
Campground. He enjoyed camping, cooking and most of all spending time with his 
grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Kristen 
Boudreaux Cancer Fund.
