He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Dulac, LA. Visitation will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home on Wednessday, January 18, 2017 from 4:00PM to 9:00PM and on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 9:00AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 19, 2017 with burial to follow services in Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his son, Wiggis Paul Gregoire Jr. and wife Marissa; daughters, Merita Solet and husband Joseph Sr., Leona Self and husband Randy, Rita Martin and husband Larry, Sandy Gautreaux and husband Russell Jr., Anita Cervantes and husband Lupe, Candy Robinson and husband Andy Sr., Anna Naquin and husband Darren Sr., and Cookie Boudreaux and husband Craig Sr.; brothers, Roger Gregoire, and Lonny Gregoire, He is survived by twenty-nine Grandchildren and twenty-five Great Grandchildren. He is preceded by his, wife, Rita Mae Scott Gregoire; parents, Evest Paul Gregoire Sr. and Zenola Picou Gregoire; grandaughter, Angel Robinson; brothers, Evest Gregoire Jr.; sisters, Mable Scott, Wilma Wilkerson, Dorothy Sapia, and Thelma Rodrigue. Wiggis was a man of leisure. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, trawling, watching wrestling and cowboy movies. He loved being surrounded by family and friends, making everyone laugh with a good joke, and always reminiscing about the good times. He was a faithful Christian. Wiggis attened Bayouland Worship Church and believed in the power of prayer. Known as “The Bread Man”, he will be forever missed and never forgotten.
