Heavy" Kraus age 37, passed away on January 15, 2017, Jacob now rest in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a longtime resident of Houma, Louisiana Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 19, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery. Jacob was a loving son to Jim and Sue Stogner Kraus, he had three beautiful daughters that he loved and cherished, Zoya, Sele’ and Rami Kraus and their mother, Kristie Lirette; loving sister, Julie Kraus Clement and husband Jeremy. Jacob loved his family and enjoyed being with his nephews, Dominick, Robert and his Godchild Alex; paternal grandmother, Anna Rose Kraus. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his Southside Maniacs Motorcycle family. Jacob is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Lois Stogner and paternal grandfather, Albert J. Kraus, Sr. Jacob was fun, loving, good spirited, great dad with a contagious smile. Jacob worked for his father’s family business. He started in the yard and the warehouse, and for the past fifteen years, and worked as a sales rep. close to his dad for Southland Steel and Supply for twelve years. He was known to many as “D.J. Heavy” and a member of Southside Maniacs Motorcycle Club. Jacob graduated from South Terrebonne High School where he played football for four years.
