A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church - Montegut, Montegut, Louisiana from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Montegut, Louisiana. He is survived by his three sons, Perry J. Martin and wife, Tanna , Ferrell A Martin and wife, Belinda, Rhal J. Martin and wife Debra; one daughter, Linda M. Matherne, all of Montegut; eleven grandchildren, Mark and Cody Martin, Dawn Chauvin, Heidi Pitre, Chelsi Bourg, Jodi Breaux, Billy and Jace Martin, Eric Martin and Monica Blanchard, Christy Hebert; twenty-one great grandchildren, Marki Martin, Jovi and Toby Chauvin, Isabella Chauvin, Cole Martin, Mikaela and Kenzie Pitre, Emma Bourg, Kade and Kamryn Breaux, Landon and Lucy Martin, Peyton, Jackson and Caraline Martin, Blake and Kooper Martin, Trent and Seth Blanchard, Hunter and Cole Hebert; and One great great grandchild, Aeryn Chauvin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen H. Martin, his parents, Eddie and Julia Lapeyrouse Martin; five brothers, Harris, Alvin, Julius, Lucius and Thaddeus Martin; three sisters, Sylvia Authement, Beulah Griffin, and Pearl Boudreaux, one daughter in law, Judy W. Martin; one son in law, William "Dee" Martherne. He was retired from Texaco. He loved fishing, collecting antiques and gardening. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. ======================
