Henry Lee Matthews, age 46, a native of Raceland and a resident of Thibodaux, 
entered into eternal life on Friday, January 13, 2017.

Visiting will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 8:00am until the hour 
of service at 10:00am at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux. 

Burial in Greater New Fountain Cemetery in Lockport, La.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Debra Ann Mathews, 6 Step-
Sons, Brad, Sr. (Helena), Vernell, Sr. (Shawanda), Derrick, Sr. (Stacey), 
Jarrell, Jodeci and Deangelo Coleman; 2 Step-Daughters, Lashana and Ebony 
Coleman; 27 grandchildren; 1 brother, Egerald Matthews (Anica), 1 sister, Annie 
Celestine.

Preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Joseph Matthews Sr.; 2 brothers, 
Joseph Jr., Burnell and Alvin Matthews; 2 sisters, Rita and Dorothy Matthews 
Mayer.

Mr. Matthews enjoyed fishing and was employed by Seahorse Marine until his 
illness.
