Christine Marie Milstead, 49, a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Ft. 
Mitchell, AL, passed peacefully at 12:51 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 in 
Columbus, GA.

Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 
February 4, 2017 at New Zion Baptist Church located at 263 Grand Caillou Road 
in Houma. 

Burial will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband Lowell Milstead, Sr.; son, Lowell Milstead, Jr.; 
daughters, Shalota Williams, China Clay, Sasha and Brandoneshia Milstead; 
grandson, Yamene Coleman, Jr.; stepfather, Carl A. Richardson (Sheryl); 
brothers, Richard Lee Williams (Lisa) and Wellington Welch; godchild, Jikenea 
Bolden; in-laws, Dorothy Mae Ford and James Louis Milstead; great aunt, Beldina 
Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Sylvia Williams Richardson; father, 
Wellington Welch; maternal grandparents, Sylvester Parker and Hattie Mae 
Williams.
