George "Neg" Joseph Pellegrin Jr., 79 , a native of Houma and resident of 
Thibodaux, passed away on January 28, 2017. George retired from the Terrebonne 
Parish Sheriffs Ofice and also worked for Valero for many years. He was also 
Commander for Coastal Rescue Unit for many years.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 30, 2017, at Samart Funeral Home of 
Houma from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Resuming Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 
8:00am until 11:00am The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 
2017 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, at 11:00 am. 

Burial will take place in the Rogers Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Paula Price and companion Keith Henry; two 
sons, Theron "Buck" Pellegrin and wife Mikelyn, Alan Pellegrin and wife Sally; 
two brothers, Johnny Pellegrin and companion Lavonne Brady, Perry Pellegrin and 
wife Penny; two sisters, Mary "Lois" White, Sheryl Gautier and Michael; 5 
grandchildren, Alan Pelegrin Jr., Peyton Pellegrin, Annalysa Nelson, Tiffany 
Waters and Crystal Robinson; great-grandchildren, 3; .

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Pellegrin; father, George 
Pellegrin, Sr.; mother, Josephine Pellegrin; brother, Anthony "Bee" Pellegrin; 
sister, Margaret Joyce Pellegrin; .

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
