Bessie Gaubert Richard, born December 8, 1919, entered into eternal life, 
January 13, 2017 at 97. 
She was a resident of the St. Charles Community.

Visitation will be at St. Charles Borromeo Church on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 
beginning at 7:30 AM until funeral time at 11:00AM. 

Burial will be at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.

Bessie is survived by her three step-sons, Eugene Richard (Bernadette), Francis 
Richard (Helen), and Wade Richard (Lolla). She is also survived by 11 
grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-children, and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Linton Richard; parents Abel and 
Virginia Gaubert; brothers, Howard and Hubert Raymond Gaubert; and sisters, 
Gladys G. Niedermeier and Laura G. Ducote. She is also preceded in death by her 
granddaughter, Shelly Richard and her great-granddaughter, Annalice Thompson.

The family would like to thank her caregivers at Audubon Guest Home, Dr. 
Chester Boudreaux and his staff, her special caregivers, Melvin and Helen 
Morvant, and her caring neighbors, Ralph and Jeannie Zeringue. They would also 
like to thank her loving sister-in-law and friend, Irene Richard Landry.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Charles Borromeo, 1985 Highway 
308, Thibodaux, LA, 70301 or a charity of your choice.

Thibodaux Funeral Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
