Roland Michael "Gippo" Robertson, Sr. departed this life on Wednesday Jan. 18, 
2017 at Iberia Medical Center, New Iberia, LA. 
He was 70, a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of New Iberia. 

Visitation at Williams and Southall Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA on Friday 
January 27, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Visitation at Williams and Southall 
Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA on Saturday January 28, 2017 from 9:00am until 
Religious Services at 11:00am. 

Entombment in the St. Joseph Mausoleum. 

Survived by his wife, Janet H.Y. Robertson; 3 sons, Roland Robertson, Jr., 
Lennie (Latainia) Young, Sr., and Helbert Young; 3 daughters, Sheena (Lloyd) 
Brisco, Nanette (Conrad) Jones and Sherian (Jerome) Sterling; 2 brothers, 
Christopher Robertson and Carroll Robertson; 3 sisters, Jeneria Hogue, Julia 
LeBlanc and Annie Hunt; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Rosemary Robertson; 1 brother, 
Stanley Robertson; 1 sister, Leona Robertson.
