Richard Joseph Trahan, 53, died January 25, 2017 at 10:05 AM. He was a native 
and a resident of Chauvin, LA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 9 AM until funeral 
time at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. 

Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Kathleen Sue Grosser Trahan; son, 
Joshua P. Trahan and fiancé, Samantha; daughters, Jessica T. Foret and husband, 
Tony, and Joni L. Trahan; father, Houston Joseph Trahan; brothers, Gene J. 
Trahan and wife, Judy, Ricky J. Trahan and wife, Patty, Mike J. Trahan and 
wife, Tina, and Mark J. Trahan; sisters, Judy Ann Luke and husband, Alvin, and 
Rebecca L. Trahan; 5 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mayola Rodrigue Trahan; brother, George 
J. Trahan.

He was a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed being on the water, shrimping, 
crabbing, fishing, boiling seafood and cleaning fish for charter fisherman. 
He loved spending time with his family. 
His grandchildren were his pride and joy. 
He will be greatly miss by all who knew him.
