Bazet, Jr. and Brenda P. Bazet; maternal grandparents; Albert A. Billiot, Jr. and Barbara Smith Billiot; loving dog Grimm, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and all her friends and Tae Kwon Do community. Katarina was also survived by her Godparents, Ray, and Mary Baudoin, Amy Bazet, and Beau Baudoin. Katarina was a bright smiling light of enthusiasm and love for everyone around her. Her hugs would warm an entire area while her ear-to-ear smile could light the room. She was outgoing and optimistic while always up for a challenge. Katarina was a 2nd degree black belt and past student instructor in Tae kwon do, and an avid athlete in track throwing the javelin. She loved the outdoors, snow skiing was her favorite along with hunting and fishing. She was an honor student with a 4.0 average. Katarina was self-taught at playing the synthesizer for VCHS indoor percussion and member of the Varsity Quiz Bowl team, chess club, drama club, choir, technology club, and theatre. She was looking forward to working on getting her fixed wing private pilot’s license this summer and possibly spending time in Colorado. Katarina attended St. Mathew’s Episcopal Elementary School where she was given the good Samaritan Award before moving on to VCHS. She was currently in the 9th grade. Katarina touched so many lives in a positive way. She had planned on attending the U.S. Air Force Academy for Cyber Security or going into Molecular Biology. She will be so sadly missed by her family and the many friends she made through the years and along her way in life. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either St. Matthew’s Episcopal School or Vandebilt Catholic High School. “May you soar and walk amongst the Angels.” Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bazet family. ======================
