She was born in Stover, MS and spent her life in Greenville, MS and Estill Springs, TN. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 3 PM in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Paynes, MS She is survived by her son, Douglas B. Browning and wife, Lennie; daughters, Linda Gail Starns and husband, Billy, and Carol Anne Browning; brothers, Ralph Ellison, Dan Ellison and Ronnie Ellison; sister, Anne Wesley; grandchildren, Leslie Mack, Don Starns, Christopher Browning, Jacob Browning, Douglas Pinkerton, Sara Browning, Michael Browning, Gregory Thornton and Lee Thornton; 11 great-grandchildren; 1great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Douglas L. Browning; son, Michael W. Browning; parents, Ralph Asaph and Velma Anna Cole Ellison. She was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church in Winchester, TN. She was a most loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a true angel on earth and will be sorely missed by those remaining.
