Sylvia Binder Cherry, 68, was born on July 12, 1948 and passed away on February 
22, 2017. 
She was a native of Peeples Valley, Arizona and a resident of Thibodaux, 
Louisiana.

A memorial will be held at Thibodaux Funeral Home on Saturday, March 11, 2017 
from 9:00 AM until service time. Services will take place at 12:00 PM. Sylvia 
will be laid to rest with her husband at a later date. 

Interment will be in Genung Cemetery, Peeples Valley, Arizona.

She is survived by her sons, William (Dianne) Pulanco of Slidell, Christopher 
"Chris" (Melissa) Cherry of Arizona; daughter, Mary (Alfred) Adams of 
Thibodaux; 15 grandchildren, Heather O'Connor, William Pulanco Jr., Josh, Adam, 
Chris Honea, Jay Jones, Colt & Robert Baldwin, Olivia, Alfred Jr., & Sylvia 
Adams, Amber, Wallace, Christopher Jr., & Alyssa Cherry; & 2 great-
grandchildren, Ja'Coby Garner & August Blakey.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Cherry; parents, Frank & Julia 
Binder; brothers, David, Frank, & Robert Binder; & 3 nephews, Frankie, Bobby, & 
Eric Binder.

Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all 
who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with handling the funeral 
arrangements and online condolences.
