He was a native and a resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 9 AM until funeral time at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux with a Mass of Christ Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis #2 Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jane Rose Porche Dean; sons, Carey J. Dean and wife, Mary, Randy P. Dean and wife, Terri, and Michael W. Dean and wife, Jill; daughter, Mary J. “Sister” Crochet and husband, Craig; brother, Burt Porche; sister, Carmen Use’; grandchildren, Addie T. Dean and companion, Chadwick, Jennifer D. Billiot and husband, Denny, Natalie D. Campbell and husband, Greg, Chelsie D. Domangue and husband, John, Tyler M. Dean, Dawn E. Dupre, Dana D. LeBlanc and husband, Jason, Corey Dean Crochet, Ashley Dean, Philip J. Dean and wife, Lynne; 17 great-grandchildren; And his beloved best friend Molly Dean. He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Verna Agnes Gaidry Alexander and husband, Philip; father, Sproul Fouche Dean; in-laws, Newel J. Sr. and Ester B. Porche; He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and duck hunting. And most of all spending time at the camp in Dularge with his brothers-in-laws. Special thanks to Dr. Russell Henry and staff, and TGMC CCU department for their kindness and caring.
