Betty Jo DeLancey, 86, of Houma, passed away on February 13, 2017.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm, with the 
service to start at 6pm, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. 

Burial will take place Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Cedar Grove Cemetery in 
Columbia, MS.

She is survived by her children, Charles Henry DeLancey and wife Dora, Annette 
Mena and husband Jorge, Margaret Koestler and husband Mark, Danny DeLancey and 
wife Lisa, Virginia Fitch and husband Ronald; Betty Jo was a proud grandmother 
to 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emitte and Iola Bourn; husband, 
Charles DeLancey; son, Joe Warren DeLancey; brothers, Emitte Bourn, Milton 
Bourn; and sisters, Mary Hadley, Lois Thomas.

Betty Jo's health may have declined but her spirit is still strong. "I have 
fought the good fight, I finished the race, and I have kept the faith."

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
