Evelyn Duncan, 91, a native of Garyville and resident of Thibodaux, peacefully 
returned to her Heavenly father, Feb.3, 2017

She is survived by her sons, James Duncan and David Duncan; and grandchildren, 
Shannon Duncan and Melanie Chrisensen.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, William Duncan Sr.; and sons, 
William Duncan Jr. and Stephen Duncan.

Evelyn was a retired educator from the Lafourche Parish School board, teaching 
in the public school system for 35 years. She received numerous awards for 
community service and dedication to the Catholic Church.

Evelyn was a graduate of L.S.U and a majorette in the fighting tigers marching 
band.

Evelyn was full of life, great dancer, and socialized with her many friends and 
family and will be dearly missed. Heaven always needs another angel that can 
dance.

Evelyn donated her body to L.S.U Medical Center at New Orleans. 

A memorial service will be held at St. Genevieve church in the near future.
