HUBER, MELANIE 
February 11, 2017

Melanie Brunet Huber, 71, a native of Montegut, La and a resident of Las Vegas, 
NV died on February 11, 2017 at 8:15 a.m.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until Service 
time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Montegut, La. Mass of Christian Burial 
will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. 

with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery, Montegut.

Melanie is survived by her son, Michael Huber, daughter, Melissa Sigal and 
husband, Robert, sisters, Maxine Venuto, Joan Domangue and Wanda Martin and one 
grandson, Sawyer James Sigal.

Melanie is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie, Sr., and Louella Guidry 
Brunet, brothers, Eddie Brunet, Jr., and sister, Edwina Schexnayder.

Melanie was an educator in the Terrebonne Parish School System and taught at 
Pointe-Aux-Chenes Elementary and Montegut Elementary. She was an avid reader, 
collector of vintage glassware. Family and friends was her life, especially her 
grandson Sawyer. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Huber family.
