He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 23, 1933, the only child of Onofrio "Alfred" and Pauline (Tumminello) Lococo. When he was nine months old, the entire Lococo family moved to Felicia Plantation in Lockport, where his parents, grandparents, along with his aunts and uncles, catered to his every wish. He loved being in the sugarcane field with his grandfather and learned how to plow from one of the field workers. When Teddy was nine years old, his grandfather gave him nine cows and a bull. From that day on, Teddy loved working with cattle and all that it required. He hated being "cooped" inside the house. Following his graduation from Holy Savior Catholic High School, Teddy served two years in the U.S. Army and returned to Lockport upon his discharge. He became the overseer at Clotilda Plantation. From 1965 to 1984, Teddy was overseer at Valentine Sugars, Inc. and assigned to Clovelly Farms in Cut Off. Following his father's death, Teddy was appointed to complete his father's term on the Lafourche Parish Police Jury and was elected to a four-year term of office. He served as a board member of the Lafourche Parish Farm Bureau, and belonged to the V.F.W. and the Louisiana Cattlemen's Association. His parents (Alfred and Pauline Lococo), grandparents (Castranzio T and Julia Lococo), and his aunts and uncles (Lococo and Tumminello) preceded Teddy in death. Teddy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janet Foret Lococo; three children: daughter Gaynell Lococo Aucoin (Keith); son Castranzio Theodore "Ted" Lococo, Jr. (Tena); of Raceland, Louisiana; and daughter Pauline Frances Lococo Waguespack (Joey) of Vacherie, Louisiana. He is also survived by his precious granddaughter, Dominique Cecilia Lococo, Petty Officer First Class in the US Navy, serving our country at the Pentagon in the office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy. Teddy served as a Colonel on the staff of Governor John McKeithen, on the Board of the Lafourche Parish Farm Bureau, and belonged to the V.F.W. and the Louisiana Cattlemen's Association. Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitier in Mathews, Louisiana, on Saturday, February 11th, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Savior Mausoleum. Masses are preferred. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. U.S. Army ======================
