Gerald, age 87 passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on 
Wednesday, February 8, 2017. 
He was a native of Velma, Oklahoma and a longtime resident of Houma, Louisiana.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at 
First Baptist Church in Gray Wednesday, February 15, 2017 beginning at 9:00 
a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. 

Burial will be held at a later date.

Gerald was married to the love of his life for 62 years, Shirley Parish Loring; 
together they had two sons. Rickey and William Loring; Gerald loved his 
grandchildren, Kacey, Riki Le, and Bronson Loring; great-grandchildren, Mary 
Jane, Catherine, Christine, and Rosie; brother, Billy Van Loring.

Gerald now rest in the arms of his Lord and Savior and is now reunited with his 
parents, Thadeus and Imogene McClanahan Loring; son, Rickey Loring; brothers, 
Guy and Wayland Loring.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to The Haven in Houma, LA.
