Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2017/f1702.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Jane Marie Serignea, a native of St. Bernard Parish, longtime resident of Houma and a recent resident of Franklin, TN, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the age of 80 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church of Funderburk Ave., Houma, La. Burial will immediately follow at St. Francis Cemetery No. 2. Jane is survived by one son, Keith Melerine and wife Blanche of Houma, one daughter, Toni Ann Melerine Boquet and husband Tony of Franklin, TN, 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Boquet Maye and husband Michael of Miamisburg, OH, and Thomas Boquet and wife Brittany of Houma. Four great-grandchildren, Madison, Blake, Tyler and Ivan. One brother, Lloyd Serigne and wife Doris of St. Bernard, La. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Emily Serigne, siblings, Bill, Alvin and Joseph Serigne, Sheen Marrero, Laura Lee Perkins, Victoria Samples and Camella Robin and former spouse, Max Melerine. Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was always there for her family. Jane was full of Life, an avid Red Hatter in TN and enjoyed cooking and dancing. Her love for gifting was over and beyond. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association or The Diabetes Association. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve the Serignea family. ======================
