After eight long years of battling cancer, Jeffery is finally at peace with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a native and lifelong resident of Big Bayou Black in Gibson, LA. Jeffery was a member of Gibson Baptist Church. He worked as a roustabout for Antill Pipeline for over 30 years and most recently as a porter for Trapp Chevrolet for the last seven years. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald "Jay" Joseph Bergeron. Survivors include longtime companion, Cindy LeBlanc, his mother, Peggy Arlene Cummings, brother, Kevin Bergeron and his wife Gertie of Houma, step-brothers, Howard Hill Cummings of Washington, Gary Cummings and wife Sue of West Virginia, step-sister, Cathy Cummings and husband Gene of Texas along with nieces, a nephew, other relatives and friends. Jeffery will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 6:00 Ð 9:00 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Gibson Baptist Church located at 5937 Bayou Black Drive in Gibson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Gibson Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Gibson Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Falgout Funeral Home, 211 Westside Blvd. in Houma. ======================
