Howard was surrounded by his loving family and now rest in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a longtime resident of Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Monday, March 13, 2017 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery. Howard was blessed with a loving family and married to his beloved wife of 69 years, Jeanette Hebert Breaux; sons, Kermit L Breaux, Daniel R. Breaux and wife Dana; daughters, Colette B. Dupre, Bonnie B. Burgess and husband William; grandchildren, Kyle Breaux, Erin Detiveaux, Afton Massey, Brianne and Connor Burgess; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Emma Massey, Ava and Max Detiveaux; step-grandchildren, Bobby and Chad Burgess, step great-granddaughter, Cali Burgess; brother, Francis Breaux. Howard is reunited with his family in Heaven that passed before him; parents, Alcide and Dorothy Webre Breaux; brothers, Rufus, Murphy, Nelson, Donald and Howard’s twin brother Harold Breaux; sisters, Wildred, Dorothy and Ruth; daughter-in-law, Stephanie B. Breaux. Howard was an amazing and loving husband, he and his beautiful wife fell in love and married on January 15, 1948, they began their beautiful family together. He had many talents, he played the clarinet, he specialized in seasonal ornamental wood crafts, making wooden holiday crafts and giving them away as gifts. He loved working in the yard and tending to his garden and flowers. Howard was one of the first graduating class of Terrebonne High School. In his later years, he and his wife enjoyed each other’s company. They enjoyed meeting people and traveling on tour buses. Howard proudly served in the U.S. Army WWII.
