He was a native and resident of Bayou Blue, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00PM to 8:00PM and continue on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue from 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin following Tuesday visitation at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue at 11:00AM. Burial will follow Mass in St. Louis Catholic Church cemetery in Bayou Blue. Larry is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Judy Brien; Sons, Randy Lawrence Brien, Stanley Brien and wife Laura Brown; Siblings, Beverly Fenton, Daniel Brien, Bonnie Caro; Grandson, Zachary Jameson Brien. Larry is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his Father, Lance Paul Brien Sr. and loving wife, Laura Pontiff Brien; loving Mother, Elizabeth Morillion Brien; Son, David Gerard Brien; Sister, Marjorie Giglio; Brothers, L.P. Jr., and Johnnie Brien. Larry was a man of many talents who mastered many skills and hobbies. He was generous to all those in need. He loved to work in his gardens and always shared the bounty of fruits and vegetables. He was a generous man who also donated much of his produce to families in need. Larry had the heart of a traveler. He traveled by road many locations inside the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He was loved by his family and friends. He will forever be remembered and loved; but never forgotten. The family would like to thank Ronald and Pat Cenac and Pattie Pitre for their love and care in Larry’s times of need.
