Melvin Brown, a native of Terrebonne Parish, passed away peacefully at 6:02 
p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017.

Visitation will be at New Magnolia Baptist Church, 427 Hwy 311 in Schriever, on 
Saturday, March 11, 2017; from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. 

Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie "Grace" Williams-Brown; son, Kodi Brown 
(Travonda); daughter, Kanika Brown; three grandchildren; mother, Odeal Victor-
Brown; brother, Earl Brown (Vergious), Andrew Brown (Barbra), Junius Brown Jr. 
(Annette), and Calvin Brown; sisters, Carolyn Joseph (Wilfred) and Jacqueline 
Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his father the Rev. Junius Brown Sr.; brothers, 
Kenneth, Curtis and John Brown.

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
