Robert "Jim" Brown, 75, a native of Norco, La. and a resident of Houma, passed 
away peacefully at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 10 from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 
a.m. at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 146 Banks St. in Houma, 

with burial to follow in Southdown Cemetery.

He is survived by his devoted companion Marion McGuire; daughters, Octavia 
"Sunshine" McGuire (Chris Singleton), Kenna Myles, Tasha Castle, and Stephanie 
Wade; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Brown 
(Freida), Richard Brown (Lynette Byrd), Lionel and David Brown; sisters, 
Darlene Brown (Aaron), Carolyn Smith (Maywheathers) and Claudette Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doretha Furley Brown; 
sister, Sandra Brown; aunt, Geneva Chinn; and uncle, Wilton Chinn.

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
