Rita now rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a longtime resident of Houma. LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until A Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Rita is survived by her sons, Shelby Cadiere, Jr. and companion Lucinda Francis, Barry Cadiere, Terry Cadiere, Lance Cadiere and wife Beatrice, Floyd Cadiere and companion Cynthia Ordone, and Chad Cadiere and wife Nikki; daughters, Lisa Pitre and late husband Clyde, Sally Brasseaux and late husband David and Christa Serigny and companion T-Wayne Adams; brother, Thaddeus DeHart; sisters, Mary ‘Ojeda and husband Jesus and Beverly DeHart Falgout and late husband Larry Sr., and sister-in-law, Lilly Cadiere Crochet. Rita is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Rita is preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-seven years, Shelby Cadiere, Sr.; parents, Herbert DeHart, and Rita Liner DeHart; brother, Michael DeHart. Rita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren. Rita will be dearly missed by all who knew her and she now is reunited with her loving husband, Shelby Cadiere, Sr. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the DeHart family. ======================
