Lucy Daigle Cancienne, 87, a native and resident of Labadieville, passed away 
peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 9:00 am until funeral 
time at St. Philomena Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 
11:00 am. 

Burial will be at St. Philomena cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Wayne Cancienne (Peggy), Catherine C. 
Arcement, Julie C. LaRose (Munson), Laura C. Longacre (Howard), Kevin Cancienne 
(Vanessa); 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Cecile Hebert Daigle; 
husband Alcee Cancienne Jr; son, Michael Cancienne; brothers, Felix Daigle, 
Everett Daigle, Walter Daigle Jr., Earl Daigle, and Harry Daigle; sisters, 
Velda D. Talbot, Ann Frances “Princess” D. Borne.

She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church Bereavement Committee, 
Adoration Chapel (charter), Ladies’ Altar Society, St. Vincent De Paul, and The 
American Legion Auxiliary.

A very special thank you to the staff at Audubon Nursing Home, Thibodaux 
Regional Medical Center and Hospice of South Louisiana.

Landry’s Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
