Percy Chiasson, 85, was born on February 22, 1932 and passed away on March 17, 
2017. He was a native and resident of Choupic, LA.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor in Chackbay, LA from 8:00 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian 
Burial will take place at 11:00 AM. 

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Juanita Boudreaux Chiasson; children, 
Brian Chiasson, Lisa Boquet (Louis), and Julie Guidry (Marco); grandchildren, 
Jessica and Erica Green, and Brooke Dempster; great-grandchildren, Theryn 
Cortez, Jax Chiasson, Charleigh Dempster, and Talyn Benoit; and siblings, 
Shirley Sausage, and Esther Falterman.

He is preceded in death by parents, Anatole and Valerie Chiasson, 
grandchildren, Kurt Chiasson, and Tommy Gros; and siblings, Inez Percle 
Rodrigue, Leonise Percle, O’Neil Chiasson, Flore Percle, Lillian Ordoyne, 
Bernadette Halbach, Anna Oncale, and Horace Chiasson.

He proudly served as an Army Sergeant in the Korea War. He served as Police 
Jury of Ward Six for twelve years. As the owner of Chiasson and Percle Grocery 
Store and Bar, he was well known by many. Percy was the type of man who never 
met a stranger and always left you with a smile.
