Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2017/f1703.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Edna "Granny" Charles Gray, 95, a resident of Houma, La. and native of New Orleans, La., passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at her residence. Visitation will be observed on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 1216 Aycock Street, Houma, La., from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Pastor Noah Smith will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Morning Star Cemetery in Raceland, La. Memories of "Granny", as she was known to many will forever remain in the hearts of her three daughters, Geraldine Redman, Rosalie Tucker, and Wanda Williams and her husband, Rev. Thomas Williams, Jr. all of Houma, La; two brothers, Alvin Charles and Beverly Charles both of New Orleans, La; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gray; her parents, Jessie Charles and Elizabeth Williams; three sons, Lenton Gray, Donald Gray and Wayne Gray; four sisters, Elizabeth Poland, Gladys Youngblood, Beatrice Espradon and Dorothy Richardson; and six brothers, Melvin Williams, Welton Williams, Lawrence Williams, Johnny Williams Jr., George Williams Sr. and Joseph Charles.
