Phyllis Kay Snyder Karns, 84 , passed away peacefully into eternal life on 
March 15, 2017. 

She was born in Reading, PA and moved to Hampton, VA in 1952. There, she and 
her husband, John, raised their family. After retirement in 1985 they moved to 
Cape Coral, FL. Then, in 2010 they moved to Houma, LA to be closer to their 
family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10am at Living Word 
Church on Highway 311, Schriever, LA.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Karns, sons, Mark (Monica) 
Karns, and Don (Karen) Karns; Grandchildren, Matthew (Rachel) Karns, Lauren 
(TJ) Vedros, and Benjamin (Jessica) Karns ; Great-Grandchildren, Luke, Levi, 
and Logan Karns, Ethan and Kate Vedros and Randi Karns; .

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Ida Mae Snyder; brother, 
Alan Snyder.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Men and Women's Place of 
Restoration at Living Word Church.

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
