Leola Elizabeth "Betty" Blanchard Opp, 90, passed away March 4, 2017, at 1:31 
a.m. She was a longtime native and resident of Houma.

As per her wishes, there will be no public services.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Susan Caskey Wiley and Mary Kitchens 
Gonzales; son, Revis Lamar Caskey; sister, Joanne Rodrigue; grandsons, Gary 
Lamar Blanchard, Lamar Patrick Caskey, and Patrick Ernest Gonzales; 
granddaughter, Michelle Gonzales Herbert; great-granddaughters, Summer 
Blanchard, Peyton Blanchard, and Scarlett Gonzales; great-grandsons, Timothy 
Hurlburt, Skyler Hurlburt, and Xander Gonzales; son-in-laws, David Gonzales and 
Pat Wiley; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and greats.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Bertram Blanchard and Lyola 
King Blanchard; husbands, Lamar Caskey and Henry Winfield "Pat" Opp III; 
brothers, Joe Blanchard, Bill Blanchard, and Emile Blanchard; sisters, Verlie 
Harson, Delores Harson, Garnet Reeves, Rosalie Boyter, Gloria Richardson, Grace 
Patterson, and Joy Atkins; grandson, Todd Arthur Blanchard; and daughter-in-
laws, Anita Leonard Caskey and Alice Dufilho.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
