Effie Trahan Parfait, 75 , a native of Golden Meadow and Resident of Theriot, 
passed away on March 1, 2017.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma 
from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 
5, 2017 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, at 8:00 pm.

She is survived by her companion, Peter Davenport; sons, Jason Parfait, Chris 
Parfait, Timothy Valdiviez and Lupe Valdiviez; daughters, Stacy Fitch, Sylvia 
Pitre, Effie Evelyn Chiasson, and Krissy Parfait; brother, Joseph Trahan; 
sisters, Enid Daisy, and Varnell Dean; 30 grandchildren; and 56 great 
grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Guadalupe "Poncho" Valdiviez, 2nd 
husband, Eloi Joseph Parfait; father, Adam Trahan; mother, Beulah Lodrigue 
Trahan; son, Eloi Joseph Parfait, Jr.; brothers, Linus and Minor Trahan, and 
Leffery Trahan; sisters, Mable Lirette, Eula Mae Verret, Mary Jane T. Naquin 
and Lorianna T. Marcle.

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
