Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2017/f1703.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Helen L. “MOM” Soudelier, aged 92 11/12ths, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma passed away on Saturday March 4, 2017 at 4:35 PM. Visitation will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 from 8:00 AM until service time at St. Matthews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the church at 9:30 A.M. with interment to follow in Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary,LA. Mom is survived by her children Christine Soudelier, Patsy Chauvin & husband Gary, Dorothy Soudelier, Marue Soudelier and Thomas “TOM” Soudelier and her loving adopted daughters, Cathy Cambre, Odette Barrios and Jaunita Sonnier. She is also survived by her siblings Chester LeCompte, Charlie LeCompte and Bobbie Breaux. She had 9 loving grandchildren, Natalie Bouquet Trahan, Monica Fornof Fallo, Samantha Fornof Heck, Adam Soudelier, Kelly Phillips, Mason and Elise Soudelier, Justin Chauvin and Mitzi McDonald and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Soudelier was preceded in death by her husband Easton Anthony Soudelier, her parents, Ruffin and America Pitre LeCompte, her brothers, Aubrey, Cyrus, Lester and Percy Lecompte, and sister Dorothy LeCompte. She was a parishoner of St. Francis DeSales Cathedral. She was Secretary for the Senior Bowling League who enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and adored her loving grandchildren. A sincere and special thanks is extended to Haydel Clinic, Haydel Hospice, Bayou Home Care and the nurses and aides at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Relay for Life. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Soudelier family. ======================
