He was a native of Dulac and a resident of Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gayle Fabre Trosclair; son, Troy Lawrence and wife Michell Trosclair; daughter, Danielle T. Williams and companion Willie “J.J.” English, Rhonda (best friend) and husband Tommy Dupre; brother, James Trosclair; sisters, Jean Pellegrin, Zelthia LeBoeuf; grandchildren, Spencer W. and wife Misty LeBlanc, Sadie L. LeBlanc, Simone A. LeBlanc; Angelle T. and husband Brock Collins, Ashley E. Trosclair, Jalen M. Williams, Sierra L. Williams, Jasmine R. Williams; great-grandson, Caden J.Cross. Lawrence is preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly T. LeBlanc; parents, Julian and Mary Voisin Trosclair; brothers, Joseph (T.B.), Johnny Sr. and Eugene P. Trosclair; sisters, Ruth Aucoin and Ezella Luke. Lawrence was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a devoted Christian to his Lord and Savior. Lawrence loved his family dearly and enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. He loved to cook for family and friends. Lawrence loved to fish and shrimp, he enjoyed his time on the peaceful waters where he and only God can spend time together. Lawrence was a Security Guard of Hope Services for eleven years and loved all of his coworkers until his time of death. Lawrence gave his family a great gift, a gift of love, happiness, caring and being a great provider. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Vicky and James Chaisson for their care, comfort and compassion in his last days of transitioning to the Lord. The family is also appreciative and very thankful to the staff of Haydel Hospice especially Debra Gorr and Laura Champagne.
