Mary Duhon Butler, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 13, 
2017. 
She was a native of Crowley, LA and a resident of Raceland for over 58 years. 

Mary was a member of University Baptist Church in Thibodaux, LA and was a great 
servant of the Lord. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and 
sister. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Noah Duhon and Bertie Welch. 

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Clyde W. Butler, 
Sr., son, Clyde W. Butler, Jr. and wife Barbara, daughter, Karen Adams and 
husband Keith, grandchildren, Erin and Kasey Butler, Matthew and Madeline 
Adams, sister, Lois Audrey Ashley and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives 
and friends. 

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held 
on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at University Baptist Church 
located at 904 Menard Street in Thibodaux, LA. 
A Memorial Service will be celebrated immediately following the visitation at 
University Baptist Church beginning at 6:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in memory of 
Mary to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
