A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the church at noon with burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery # 2. A native of Grand Calliou and resident of Thibodaux. She was a retired 37-year employee of Apache Corporation (Formally Laterre Land Co.) of Houma and was strongly dedicated to her work and co-workers. She is a 1975 graduate of South Terrebonne High School and remained in touch with many of her classmates and Gatorette drill team friends to the end. She leaves behind her Mother, Charlene Boudreaux Samanie, Husband Barney Callahan, Daughter Rachael Bowman and (Bryan) Hines, Step Children Travis and Krista Callahan, Grandsons Dominic and Peyton Hines. Three Sisters, Debbie (Blake) Hebert, Darla (Ricky) Dupre and Dawn Kilpatrick along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins she adored. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Blaise Samanie, Grandparents, Brunella and Robert Samanie Sr. and Ethel and Abel Boudreaux She loved her family, her home in Thibodaux and the many pets (past and present) including strays and rescues she cared for unselfishly with time or money without hesitation. She collected and restored numerous antique sewing machines, naming each one with the love she put into them. She was fascinated by Hummingbirds and worked hard to grow flowers or fill feeders year-round to attract them for her enjoyment. Her beautiful smiling face, her sharp wittedness, her charm, etiquette and grace will forever be missed but never forgotten by all who knew her and shared her short stay here on earth. For she has gone forward to a better place to prepare us all a reunion with her in heaven The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Thibodaux Regional Hospital, Cancer Center for their treatment, care and counseling in our time of need. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in her name be sent to The St. Joseph's Hospice of Bayou Region located at 103 Ridgefield Road, Thibodaux, La. 70301 who provided their assistance and compassion in such a timely, and professional manner. Falgout Funeral Home 211 Westside Blvd. Houma entrusted with arrangements. ======================
