Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2017/f1704.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Florine "Flo" Raymond Cheramie, 94, a native and resident of Cut Off, passed away at 7:30 AM on April 25, 2017. Florine had been a resident at Audubon Health and Rehab Center in Thibodaux, LA. Visitation will take place on Friday April 28, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off from 10 am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 noon with burial following in Sacred Heart Catholic Church mausoleum, Cut Off. She is survived by her sons, Van Joseph Cheramie (Connie), Edmond Anthony Cheramie (Miriam), daughter Ora Cheramie Ordoyne (Dale), sisters Therese Raymond Duet and Alice Raymond Ledet, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Yum) Joseph Cheramie and her parents Leonce Raymond and Aurora Plaisance Raymond, her brother Lubin Raymond, Sr. and sisters Estelle Raymond Williams and Vivian Raymond Schouest. Florine was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, Louisiana where she had been an active member of the Ladies Altar Society and a founding member of the Sacred Heart Chapter of the Catholic Daughters of America, League of the Sacred Heart, VFW Auxiliary Post 8538, Lower Lafourche Women's Bowling Association, and Lafourche Homemaker Council She sewed church banners and assisted in counting the church collections on Mondays. She was recognized on numerous occasions at the state level by the Louisiana Association for Family and Community Education for her volunteer work. She and her four sisters were avid bowlers who traveled the country participating in bowling tournaments and sightseeing. Florine was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, cook, seamstress, bowler, Cub Scout den mother, who firmly believed in and lived her faith. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Audubon Health and Rehab for their passion and excellent care.
