Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2017/f1704.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Darryl "Boogie" DiMaggio Sr., 76, a resident of Houma, passed away at Teche Regional Medical Center on Monday, April 3, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on Dec. 19, 1940 in Morgan City, the son of Paul DiMaggio Sr. and Ethel Arbaugh DiMaggio. Boogie was very artistic. He enjoyed painting, sculpting, creating woodworking designs, and writing. He also enjoyed aviation and was a sea plane pilot. He even authored a book titled, "Swamp Eagles," which was about piloting sea planes. He was also a loving father, grandfather, and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his one son, Darryl John DiMaggio Jr. and wife Donna of Bayou Vista; one daughter, Angela "Angie" DiMaggio Sweetnam and husband Philip of Patterson; brother, Paul DiMaggio Jr. and wife Jackie of Rio Vista, California; nine grandchildren, Darryl DiMaggio III, Ariana LeBlanc, Melody DiMaggio, Jonathan Dake, Nathan Dake, Hanna Dake, Joanna Dake, Tristan Sweetnam, Sara Sweetnam; and a host of nieces and nephews. Boogie was preceded in death by his parents, Paul DiMaggio Sr. and Ethel Arbaugh DiMaggio. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Twin City Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume Friday, April 7 from 9 a.m. until time of service. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Boogie will be laid to rest in the Patterson Protestant Cemetery. ======================
