James "Tuddy" Jeffery Marcel Jr., 61, died April 2, 2017 at 1:12 p.m. 
He was a native and a resident of Houma, La.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and 
Thursday, April 6 from 8 a.m. until funeral time in the Magnolia Chapel at 
Chauvin Funeral Home with service at 10 a.m. 

Burial will be held in St. Francis #2 Cemetery, Houma, La.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Romona "Mona" Meyers Marcel; son, 
Brandon L. Marcel and wife, Jade; daughters, Heather M. Talbot and husband, 
Trevor; mother, Dolores Ann Mazarac Marcel; sister, Debra M. Matherne; 
grandchildren, Corin and Colin Talbot, Avery, Allie and Aubryn Marcel; and 
godmother, Anita Martinez.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Jeffery Marcel Sr.; sister, Carla 
M. Lyons; and godfather, Leonard Marcel.

He was a retired welder for 42 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, music, 
riding his motorbike, and most importantly spending time at the camp with his 
family and friends.
