Joseph "Joe" Marcel, Jr., 69, a native and resident of Houma, LA passed away on 
April 4, 2017.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Samart 
Funeral Home of Bayou Blue from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the religious 
services to start at 7:00 pm.

He is survived by his sisters, Thelma Ledet and husband, Leroy, Geraldine 
Hebert and husband, Gerald, Wilma Luke and Dolores LeBouef; and numerous 
nieces, nephews, family, and friends; special friend, Wade Price.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jospeh Marcel, Sr. and Wilma Dupre 
Marcel; step-parents, Oliver and Lucy Marcel; nephew, Errol Luke; brother-in-
laws, Sidney Luke, Sr. and Ray LeBouef.

Jr. was a deaf-mute, but never knew a stranger and everyone he met was a friend 
for life.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to 
the funeral home for funeral expenses.
