Visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, La. She is survived by three daughters, Karen Prejean, Bernice (Richard) Galiano, and Margaret (Roland) Benoit; five sons, David P. (Nettie) Prejean, Henry Whitney Prejean Jr., Scuddy Prejean, Glen Prejean, and Keith (Renee) Prejean; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-*grandchildren; and brother Clifton Ledet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Whitney "MeMe" Prejean Sr.; daughter, Faye Rochel; sons, Larry Prejean, and John Prejean; her parents, Louis and Leonise Ledet; daughter-in-laws, Elsie Prejean, and Katherine Prejean; son-in-laws, Melvyn Boyle Rochel, and Horace Pennison; five sisters, Mable Barrilleaux, Bertha "Bea" Cortez, Neolie Ledet, Bernice Ledet, and Ruby Albert; three brothers, Eugene "Jack" Ledet, Didier "Dump" Ledet, and Abel "A.J." Ledet. The family would like to thank Stat Home Health, St. Joseph Hospice and Dr. Raja Talluri for their excellent care.
