Hortense Louise Usey, 84, a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA, passed away 
on Saturday, April 29, 2017.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11:00 
am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux, LA 

followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine U. Studer (husband Edmund) and 
Debra U. Usey; sons, David “Mac” Usey, Gary Usey, and Jared Usey; boyfriend, 
Harry Blanchard; 18 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Usey, Sr.; parents, Olivain 
Tabor and Maria Hebert Tabor; son, Sidney Usey, Jr.; grandson, Jy Usey; 
brothers, Felix “John” Usey, Richard Tabor, and Antoine Tabor; sisters, Evela 
Benoit, Noemie “Theresa” Thibodaux, Virgie T. Guillot, and Ethel Tabor.
