The visitation will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9am to 11am including the Military Honors, with the Memorial Service to start at 11am, at Samart Funeral Home. He is leaving behind the love of his life of 31 years, Jane Young; children, Valissa McGuffee (Kenny), Chester John Valure II (fiancé Casey), Brandon Chad Valure (companion Angie), Cindy Carlos, and Allison Herzog (Steve); sisters, Della Prejean, Diane Campbell, Sandra Bergeron, Kathy Whited (Doyel), and Debra Valure; brother, Ronnie Valure; grandchildren, Jessica H. Strain, Justin, Jared and Jamie Duet, Ian, Connor, and Ally McGuffee, Tiffany, Ericka, Kaleb, and Landon Valure; and numerous nieces, nephews, families, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis P. Valure Sr. and Virginia Mary Dryden Valure; brothers, Randolf Labauve, Louis P. Valure Jr., Gerode Valure; sister, Gloria "Che Che" Burnley; granddaughter, Emily Herzog. He was a kind and loving man who cared deeply for his children, grandchildren, and wonderful family. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, and having family gatherings. Chester was a founding member of the Louisiana Club and Krewe of Saints in Atlanta, GA., a Vietnam War Veteran who worked on fighter jets in the Air force, and worked as an electrician and contractor on construction in LA and GA. The family would like to give special thanks to TGMC, AMG of Houma, Maison Deville of Houma, and Haydel Hospice for their kindness, consideration, and personal care.
