He was a native of Dixon, IL, formerly of Prophetstown, IL and resident of Houma. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church in Houma. A Memorial Service will follow visitation at 3 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date. Burt is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Marilyn Salzmann Beach; his children, Amy Lesniewski (Mark Huycke), Penny Cuneo (Bret), Edward Beach (Jonn Bumatay), Melody Lipner (Jason); sister, Mary Jayne Beach Spinden; and grandchildren, Samantha Riddels (Grayson), Sydney Lesniewski, Connor Cuneo, Hannah Cuneo, Jordan Lipner, Destiny Lipner, and Savannah Lipner. Burt was preceded by his parents, Charles Edward Beach and Frances Clark Beach; daughter, Pamela Beach; sisters, JoAnne Beach Maves, Jacqueline Beach Schryver, and Mavis Beach Petit. Burt was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was very proud of his family. He loved them dearly and looked forward to the holidays. He was dedicated to the Lutheran Faith and Grace Lutheran Church. Burt believed firmly in giving to his community and served for many years in civic government and church leadership roles in Prophetstown, IL. He enjoyed watching baseball and was a dedicated White Sox fan. Burt enjoyed hunting, reading about history, especially about The American Civil War and World War II, and watching the History Channel. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends; but he will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Houma.
